³⁶ So if the Son ^(A)makes you free, you will be free indeed.

² For ^(A)the law of the Spirit of life ^[a]in ^(B)Christ Jesus ^(C)has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

¹⁷ Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where ^(A)the Spirit of the Lord is, ^(B)there is freedom.

Christ Set Us Free

5 ^[a](A)It was for freedom that Christ set us free. Therefore, ^(B)stand firm and do not be subject again to a ^(C)yoke of slavery.

¹³ For you were called to ^(A)freedom, brothers; ^(B)only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love ^(C)serve one another.

¹² So speak and so act as those who are to be judged by ^(A)the law of freedom.

¹⁶ Act as ^(A)free people, and ^[a]do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as ^(B)slaves of God.
