27 [a]They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.
28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself, but as my Father hath taught me, so I spake these things.
29 For he that sent me, is with me: the Father hath not left me alone, because I do always those things that please him.

27 They did not understand that he was telling them about his Father. 28 So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up[a] the Son of Man,(A) then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me.(B) 29 The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone,(C) for I always do what pleases him.”(D)
