John 7:38-39
English Standard Version
38 Whoever believes in me, (A)as[a] the Scripture has said, (B)‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of (C)living water.’” 39 Now (D)this he said about the Spirit, (E)whom those who believed in him were to receive, (F)for as yet the Spirit had not been (G)given, (H)because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Amplified Bible
38 He who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Me], as the Scripture has said, ‘From his innermost being will flow continually rivers of living water.’”(A) 39 But He was speaking of the [Holy] Spirit, whom those who believed in Him [as Savior] were to receive afterward. The Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (raised to honor).

The Message
37-39 On the final and climactic day of the Feast, Jesus took his stand. He cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Rivers of living water will brim and spill out of the depths of anyone who believes in me this way, just as the Scripture says.” (He said this in regard to the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were about to receive. The Spirit had not yet been given because Jesus had not yet been glorified.)
