30 (A)So they were seeking to arrest him, but (B)no one laid a hand on him, (C)because his hour had not yet come. 31 Yet (D)many of the people believed in him. They said, (E)“When the Christ appears, will he do more signs than this man has done?”

Officers Sent to Arrest Jesus

32 The Pharisees heard the crowd (F)muttering these things about him, and the chief priests and Pharisees sent (G)officers to arrest him. 33 Jesus then said, (H)“I will be with you a little longer, and then (I)I am going to him who sent me. 34 (J)You will seek me and you will not find me. Where I am you cannot come.” 35 The Jews said to one another, “Where does this man intend to go that we will not find him? (K)Does he intend to go to (L)the Dispersion among (M)the Greeks and teach the Greeks? 36 What does he mean by saying, (N)‘You will seek me and you will not find me,’ and, ‘Where I am you cannot come’?”

32 The Pharisees heard the crowd whispering such things about him. Then the chief priests and the Pharisees sent temple guards to arrest him.

33 Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time,(E) and then I am going to the one who sent me.(F) 34 You will look for me, but you will not find me; and where I am, you cannot come.”(G)

35 The Jews said to one another, “Where does this man intend to go that we cannot find him? Will he go where our people live scattered(H) among the Greeks,(I) and teach the Greeks? 36 What did he mean when he said, ‘You will look for me, but you will not find me,’ and ‘Where I am, you cannot come’?”(J)
