63 (A)It is the Spirit who gives life; (B)the flesh is no help at all. (C)The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. 64 But (D)there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus (E)knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and (F)who it was who would betray him.) 65 And he said, “This is why I told you (G)that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.”
66 (H)After this many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him. 67 So Jesus said to (I)the twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?” 68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have (J)the words of eternal life,

63 The Spirit gives life;(A) the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit[a] and life. 64 Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus had known(B) from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him.(C) 65 He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.”(D)
66 From this time many of his disciples(E) turned back and no longer followed him.
67 “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve.(F)
68 Simon Peter answered him,(G) “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.(H)
