⁶³^(A)It is the Spirit who gives life; the ^(B)flesh profits nothing. The ^(C)words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

⁶³The Spirit gives life;^(A) the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit^[a] and life.

⁶⁵And He said, “Therefore ^(A)I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.”

⁶⁵He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.”^(A)
