³⁷ And the Father who sent me ^(A)has himself borne witness about me. His voice you have never heard, ^(B)his form you have never seen,

^46 (A)not that anyone has seen the Father except ^(B)he who is from God; he ^(C)has seen the Father.

²⁰ But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for ^(A)man shall not see me and live.”

The Pre-eminence of Christ

^15 (A)He is the image of ^(B)the invisible God, ^(C)the firstborn of all creation.

^16 (A)who alone has immortality, ^(B)who dwells in ^(C)unapproachable light, ^(D)whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honour and eternal dominion. Amen.

^12 (A)No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and ^(B)his love is perfected in us.

^20 (A)If anyone says, “I love God”, and ^(B)hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot^[a] love God ^(C)whom he has not seen.
