²³ But an hour is coming, and is now here,^(A) when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth.^[a] Yes, the Father wants such people to worship him.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come^(A) and has given us understanding so that we may know the true one.^[a] We are in the true one—that is, in his Son, Jesus Christ.^(B) He is the true God and eternal life.
