7 and the facecloth that was on his head—not lying with the strips of linen cloth, but folded up separately in one place. 8 So then the other disciple who had come to the tomb first also went in, and he saw and believed. 9 (For they did not yet know the scripture that it was necessary for him to rise from the dead.)

7 as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head.(A) The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen. 8 Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first,(B) also went inside. He saw and believed. 9 (They still did not understand from Scripture(C) that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)(D)
