36 (A)For these things took place that the Scripture might be fulfilled: (B)“Not one of his bones (C)will be broken.” 37 And again another Scripture says, (D)“They will look on him whom they have pierced.”

38 (E)After these things Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly (F)for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus, and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took away his body.

The Burial of Jesus(D)
38 Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jewish leaders.(E) With Pilate’s permission, he came and took the body away.
