John 18:9-11
American Standard Version
9 that the word might be fulfilled which he spake, Of those whom thou hast given me I lost not one. 10 Simon Peter therefore having a sword drew it, and struck the high priest’s [a]servant, and cut off his right ear. Now the [b]servant’s name was Malchus. 11 Jesus therefore said unto Peter, Put up the sword into the sheath: the cup which the Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

9 This happened so that the words he had spoken would be fulfilled: “I have not lost one of those you gave me.”[a](A)
10 Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. (The servant’s name was Malchus.)
11 Jesus commanded Peter, “Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup(B) the Father has given me?”
