Amplified Bible
9 This was to fulfill and verify the words He had spoken, “Of those whom You have given Me, I have not lost even one.”(A) 10 Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus. 11 So Jesus said to Peter, “Put the sword [back] in its sheath! Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?”
