12 (A)So (B)the Roman [a]cohort and the [b]commander and the (C)officers of the Jews, arrested Jesus and bound Him, 13 and led Him to (D)Annas first; for he was father-in-law of (E)Caiaphas, who was high priest that year. 14 Now Caiaphas was the one who had advised the Jews that (F)it was better for one man to die on behalf of the people.

12 Then the company of soldiers, the commander, and the Jewish officials arrested Jesus and tied him up. 13 First they led him to Annas,(A) since he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas,(B) who was high priest that year. 14 Caiaphas was the one who had advised the Jews that it would be better for one man to die for the people.(C)

12 Then the detachment of soldiers with its commander and the Jewish officials(A) arrested Jesus. They bound him 13 and brought him first to Annas, who was the father-in-law of Caiaphas,(B) the high priest that year. 14 Caiaphas was the one who had advised the Jewish leaders that it would be good if one man died for the people.(C)
