24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.

26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:

24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive,(A) and your joy will be complete.(B)

25 “Though I have been speaking figuratively,(C) a time is coming(D) when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father. 26 In that day you will ask in my name.(E) I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf.
