¹³Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.^(A) ¹⁴You are my friends^(B) if you do what I command.^(C)

¹⁶^(A)By this we know love, ^(B)because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
