The New Commandment

31 So, when he had gone out, Jesus said, (A)“Now the Son of Man is glorified, and (B)God is glorified in Him. 32 If God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and (C)glorify Him immediately. 33 Little children, I shall be with you a (D)little while longer. You will seek Me; (E)and as I said to the Jews, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come,’ so now I say to you. 34 (F)A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 (G)By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Love and Joy Perfected

“As the Father (A)loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 10 (B)If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and (C)that your joy may be full. 12 (D)This is My (E)commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 (F)Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. 14 (G)You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, (H)for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. 16 (I)You did not choose Me, but I chose you and (J)appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father (K)in My name He may give you. 17 These things I command you, that you love one another.
