John 12:32-34
Amplified Bible
32 And I, if and when I am lifted up from the earth [on the cross], will draw all people to Myself [Gentiles, as well as Jews].” 33 He said this to indicate the kind of death by which He was to die. 34 At this the crowd answered Him, “[a]We have heard from the Law that the Christ is to remain forever; how then can You say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”(A)

New International Version

34 The crowd spoke up, “We have heard from the Law(D) that the Messiah will remain forever,(E) so how can you say, ‘The Son of Man(F) must be lifted up’?(G) Who is this ‘Son of Man’?”
