GOD’S WORD Translation
25 Those who love their lives will destroy them, and those who hate their lives in this world will guard them for everlasting life. 26 Those who serve me must follow me. My servants will be with me wherever I will be. If people serve me, the Father will honor them.
27 “I am too deeply troubled now to know how to express my feelings. Should I say, ‘Father, save me from this time ⌞of suffering⌟’? No! I came for this time of suffering.

25 Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it(A) for eternal life.(B) 26 Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be.(C) My Father will honor the one who serves me.
27 “Now my soul is troubled,(D) and what shall I say? ‘Father,(E) save me from this hour’?(F) No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour.
