23 But Jesus *answered them by saying, (A)The hour has come for the Son of Man to (B)be glorified. 24 Truly, truly I say to you, (C)unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. 25 (D)The one who loves his [a]life loses it, and the one who (E)hates his [b]life in this world will keep it [c]to eternal life. 26 If anyone [d]serves Me, he must follow Me; and (F)where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone [e]serves Me, the Father will (G)honor him.

Jesus Foretells His Death

27 (H)Now My soul has become troubled; and what am I to say? ‘(I)Father, save Me from (J)this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. 28 (K)Father, glorify Your name.” Then a (L)voice came out of heaven: “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.”

But if it dies, it produces many seeds. 25 Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it(D) for eternal life.(E) 26 Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be.(F) My Father will honor the one who serves me.

27 “Now my soul is troubled,(G) and what shall I say? ‘Father,(H) save me from this hour’?(I) No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. 28 Father, glorify your name!”

Then a voice came from heaven,(J) “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.”
