John 10:11-21

New American Standard Bible

¹¹“^(A)I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd ^(B)lays down His life for the sheep. ¹²He who is a hired hand, and not a ^(C)shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf snatches them and scatters the flock. ¹³He flees because he is a hired hand and does not care about the sheep. ¹⁴^(D)I am the good shepherd, and ^(E)I know My own, and My own know Me, ¹⁵just as ^(F)the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and ^(G)I lay down My life for the sheep. ¹⁶And I have ^(H)other sheep that are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice; and they will become ^(I)one flock, with ^(J)one shepherd. ¹⁷For this reason the Father loves Me, because I ^(K)lay down My life so that I may take it back. ¹⁸^(L)No one has taken it away from Me, but I ^(M)lay it down on My own. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it back. ^(N)This commandment I received from My Father.”

¹⁹^(O)Dissension occurred again among the Jews because of these words. ²⁰Many of them were saying, “He ^(P)has a demon and ^(Q)is insane. Why do you listen to Him?” ²¹Others were saying, “These are not the words of one who is ^(R)demon-possessed. ^(S)A demon cannot open the eyes of those who are blind, can it?”
