John 1:40-49
New American Standard Bible
40 (A)One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. 41 He first *found his own brother Simon and *said to him, “We have found the (B)Messiah” (which translated means [a]Christ). 42 He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of [b](C)John; you shall be called (D)Cephas” (which is translated [c](E)Peter).
43 (F)The next day He [d]decided to go to (G)Galilee, and He *found (H)Philip. And Jesus *said to him, “(I)Follow Me.” 44 Now (J)Philip was from (K)Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. 45 (L)Philip *found (M)Nathanael and *said to him, “We have found Him of whom (N)Moses wrote in the Law, and (O)the prophets also wrote: Jesus (P)the son of Joseph, from (Q)Nazareth!” 46 Nathanael said to him, “(R)Can anything good be from Nazareth?” (S)Philip *said to him, “Come and see.” 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and *said of him, “Here is truly an (T)Israelite, in whom there is no deceit!” 48 Nathanael *said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before (U)Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” 49 Nathanael answered Him, “(V)Rabbi, You are (W)the Son of God; You are the (X)King of Israel!”

John 1:40-49
New International Version
40 Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. 41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ).(A) 42 And he brought him to Jesus.
Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called(B) Cephas” (which, when translated, is Peter[a]).(C)
Jesus Calls Philip and Nathanael
43 The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip,(D) he said to him, “Follow me.”(E)
44 Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida.(F) 45 Philip found Nathanael(G) and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law,(H) and about whom the prophets also wrote(I)—Jesus of Nazareth,(J) the son of Joseph.”(K)
46 “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?”(L) Nathanael asked.
“Come and see,” said Philip.
47 When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite(M) in whom there is no deceit.”(N)
48 “How do you know me?” Nathanael asked.
Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.”
49 Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi,(O) you are the Son of God;(P) you are the king of Israel.”(Q)
