³⁷ When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus.

¹⁷ Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message,^(A) and the message is heard through the word about Christ.^(B)

Jesus Calls Philip and Nathanael

⁴³ The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip,^(A) he said to him, “Follow me.”^(B)

¹⁷ The Spirit^(A) and the bride^(B) say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.^(C)

²¹ and the inhabitants of one city will go to another and say, ‘Let us go at once to entreat^(A) the Lord and seek^(B) the Lord Almighty. I myself am going.’
