6 Dort befand sich der Jakobsbrunnen. Müde von der Wanderung setzte sich Jesus an den Brunnen. Es war um die Mittagszeit.
7 Da kam eine Samariterin aus der nahe gelegenen Stadt zum Brunnen, um Wasser zu holen. Jesus bat sie: »Gib mir etwas zu trinken!« 8 Denn seine Jünger waren in die Stadt gegangen, um etwas zu essen einzukaufen.

6 Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.
7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?”(A) 8 (His disciples had gone into the town(B) to buy food.)
