Jesus viser seg for disiplene mens de fisker
21 Senere viste Jesus seg igjen for disiplene ved Genesaretsjøen[a]. Det skjedde på denne måten:
2 En gruppe som besto av Simon Peter, Tomas, han som ble kalt Tvillingen, Natanael fra Kana i Galilea, Jakob og Johannes, som var sønnene til Sebedeus, og to andre disipler var sammen ved sjøen. 3 Da sa Simon Peter til de andre: ”Jeg tar meg en tur ut og fisker”. De andre svarte: ”Vi blir også med.” De steg ombord i båten og dro ut på sjøen, men de fikk ikke en eneste fisk hele natten.
4 Da det ble morgen, sto Jesus på stranden, men de forsto ikke at det var ham.
5 Jesus ropte ut over sjøen: ”Går det bra, mine venner? Har dere fått noe fisk?”
”Nei”, svarte de.
6 Da sa han: ”Kast noten ut på høyre side av båten, da vil dere få fisk.” De fulgte rådet hans, og nå fikk de så mye fisk at de ikke maktet å dra inn noten!
7 Den disippelen som Jesus elsket[b], sa til Peter: ”Det er Herren Jesus.” Da Simon Peter hørte at det var Herren, knyttet han ytterklærne om seg, for han hadde nesten ikke noe på seg. Han hoppet i vannet og svømte i land. 8 De andre disiplene kom etter med båten som slepte noten med fiskene i. De var omkring 100 meter fra stranden. 9 Da de kom i land, så de at Jesus hadde gjort opp et bål og holdt på å grille fisk og steke brød over glørne.
10 Jesus sa: ”Hent noen av fiskene som dere nettopp har fått.” 11 Da hoppet Simon Peter ombord i båten og hjalp de andre med å dra noten i land. Det var 153 store fisker i noten. Til tross for at den var så full, hadde den ikke revnet.
12 Jesus sa til disiplene: ”Kom hit og spis.” Ingen av dem våget å spørre hvem han var, men alle skjønte at det måtte være Herren. 13 Jesus gikk fram og serverte dem av brødet og fisken.
14 Dette var tredje gangen som Jesus viste seg for disiplene etter at han hadde stått opp fra de døde.
Jesus og Peter
15 Da de hadde spist, sa Jesus til Simon Peter: ”Simon, sønn av Johannes, elsker du meg mer enn de andre gjør?”
”Ja, Herre”, svarte Peter, ”du vet at jeg elsker deg.”
”Gi da mat til mine lam”, sa Jesus.
16 Jesus spurte for andre gangen: ”Simon, sønn av Johannes, elsker du meg?”
”Ja, Herre”, sa Peter, ”du vet at jeg elsker deg.”
”Vær da gjeter for mine sauer”, sa Jesus.
17 For tredje gangen spurte Jesus ham: ”Simon, sønn av Johannes, elsker du meg?”
Peter ble lei seg over at Jesus på nytt måtte spørre om han elsket ham, men han svarte: ”Herre, du vet alt. Du vet at jeg elsker deg.”
Da sa Jesus: ”Gi da mat til sauene mine. 18 Jeg skal si deg som sant er: Da du var ung, kunne du gjøre deg i stand og dra dit du selv ville. Men når du blir gammel, skal du strekke ut hendene dine, og andre vil gjøre deg i stand og føre deg dit du ikke vil.[c]” 19 Dette sa Jesus for å vise hva slags død Peter skulle opphøye og ære Gud med. Jesus sa til han: ”Følg meg.”
20 Peter vendte seg nå rundt og fikk se at den disippelen som Jesus elsket[d], fulgte etter ham. Det var han som under det siste måltidet med Jesus hadde lent seg inn mot Jesus og spurt hvem som skulle forråde ham. 21 Da Peter fikk se disippelen, spurte han Jesus: ”Hva kommer til å skje med ham?”
22 Men Jesus svarte: ”Dersom jeg vil at han skal leve til jeg kommer igjen, så påvirker ikke det din situasjon. Se bare til at du følger meg.”
23 På grunn av dette utsagnet spredde det seg et rykte blant de troende om at denne disippelen ikke skulle dø. Men Jesus sa aldri til Peter at disippelen ikke skulle dø. Han sa bare: ”Dersom jeg vil at han skal leve til jeg kommer igjen, så påvirker ikke det din situasjon.”
Sluttord
24 Det er denne disippelen som har sett alle tingene som skjedde, og som har skrevet det ned i denne boken. Vi vet at det han forteller, er sant.
25 Jesus gjorde også mye annet. Om alle de tingene som skjedde skulle bli skrevet ned, ja, da tror jeg ikke at hele verden ville romme det antall bøker som da måtte bli skrevet!

21 Después de esto, Jesús se manifestó[a](A) otra vez a los discípulos(B) junto al mar de Tiberias(C), y se manifestó de esta manera: 2 Estaban juntos Simón Pedro, Tomás llamado el Dídimo[b](D), Natanael(E) de Caná de Galilea(F), los hijos de Zebedeo(G) y otros dos de Sus discípulos. 3 «Me voy a pescar», les dijo* Simón Pedro. «Nosotros también vamos contigo», le dijeron* ellos. Fueron y entraron en la barca, y aquella noche no pescaron nada(H).
4 Cuando ya amanecía, Jesús estaba en la playa; pero los discípulos no sabían que era Jesús(I). 5 Jesús les dijo*: «Hijos, ¿acaso tienen algún pescado[c](J)?». «No», respondieron ellos. 6 Y Él les dijo: «Echen la red al lado derecho de la barca y hallarán pesca». Entonces la echaron, y no podían sacarla por la gran cantidad de peces(K).
7 Entonces aquel discípulo a quien Jesús amaba(L), dijo* a Pedro: «¡Es el Señor!». Oyendo Simón Pedro que era el Señor, se puso la ropa[d], porque se la había quitado[e] para poder trabajar, y se echó al mar. 8 Pero los otros discípulos vinieron en la barca, porque no estaban lejos de tierra, sino a unos 100 metros, arrastrando la red llena de peces. 9 Cuando bajaron a tierra, vieron* brasas ya puestas(M) y un pescado(N) colocado sobre ellas, y pan. 10 Jesús les dijo*: «Traigan algunos de los peces(O)que acaban de sacar».
11 Simón Pedro subió a la barca, y sacó la red a tierra, llena de peces grandes, 153 en total; y aunque había tantos, la red no se rompió. 12 Jesús les dijo*: «Vengan y desayunen(P)». Ninguno de los discípulos se atrevió a preguntarle: «¿Quién eres Tú?», sabiendo que era el Señor. 13 Jesús vino*, tomó* el pan y se lo dio*; y lo mismo hizo con el pescado(Q). 14 Esta fue[f] la tercera vez que Jesús se manifestó[g] a los discípulos(R), después de haber resucitado de entre los muertos.
Diálogo de Jesús con Pedro
15 Cuando acabaron de desayunar(S), Jesús dijo* a Simón Pedro: «Simón, hijo de Juan[h], ¿me amas[i](T)más que estos?». «Sí, Señor, Tú sabes que te quiero[j]», le contestó* Pedro. Jesús le dijo*: «Apacienta Mis corderos(U)».
16 Volvió a decirle por segunda vez: «Simón, hijo de Juan, ¿me amas[k]?». «Sí, Señor, Tú sabes que te quiero[l]», le contestó* Pedro. Jesús le dijo*: «Pastorea Mis ovejas(V)».
17 Jesús le dijo por tercera vez: «Simón, hijo de Juan, ¿me quieres[m]?». Pedro se entristeció porque la tercera vez(W) le dijo: «¿Me quieres[n]?». Y le respondió: «Señor, Tú lo sabes todo(X); Tú sabes que te quiero[o]». «Apacienta Mis ovejas(Y)», le dijo* Jesús. 18 «En verdad te digo, que cuando eras más joven te vestías[p]y andabas por donde querías; pero cuando seas viejo extenderás las manos y otro te vestirá[q], y te llevará adonde no quieras».
19 Esto dijo, dando a entender la clase de muerte(Z) con que Pedro glorificaría a Dios. Y habiendo dicho esto, le dijo*: «Sígueme(AA)». 20 Pedro, volviéndose, vio* que les seguía el discípulo a quien Jesús amaba(AB), el que en la cena se había recostado sobre el pecho de Jesús y le había preguntado: «Señor, ¿quién es el que te va a entregar(AC)?». 21 Entonces Pedro, al verlo, dijo* a Jesús: «Señor, ¿y este, qué?». 22 Jesús le dijo*: «Si Yo quiero que él se quede hasta que Yo venga(AD), ¿a ti, qué? Tú, sígueme(AE)».
23 Por eso el dicho se propagó entre los hermanos(AF) que aquel discípulo no moriría. Pero Jesús no le dijo que no moriría, sino: «Si Yo quiero que se quede hasta que Yo venga(AG), ¿a ti, qué?».
24 Este es el discípulo que da testimonio de estas cosas(AH) y el que escribió esto, y sabemos que su testimonio es verdadero.
25 Y hay también muchas otras cosas que Jesús hizo(AI), que si se escribieran* en detalle[r], pienso que ni aun el mundo mismo podría* contener los libros que se escribirían*.

21 After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.
2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.
5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.
8 And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.
9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.
11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
13 Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.
14 This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.
15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdest thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
19 This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.
20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
21 Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
23 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
24 This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
