¹⁹And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

¹⁹This is the verdict: Light^(A) has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.^(B)

⁵For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

⁵But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word^(A) the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water.^(B)
