^16 (A)The Lord roars from Zion,
    and ^(B)utters his voice from Jerusalem,
    ^(C)and the heavens and the earth quake.
But the Lord is ^(D)a refuge to his people,
    a stronghold to the people of Israel.

^(A)“The Lord roars from Zion
    and utters his voice from Jerusalem;
^(B)the pastures of the shepherds mourn,
    and the ^(C)top of ^(D)Carmel withers.”

^10 (A)The earth quakes before them;
    the heavens tremble.
^(B)The sun and the moon are darkened,
    and the stars withdraw their shining.
^11 (C)The Lord utters his voice
    before ^(D)his army,
for his camp is exceedingly great;
    ^(E)he who executes his word is powerful.
^(F)For the day of the Lord is ^(G)great and very awesome;
    ^(H)who can endure it?

^(A)“‘The Lord will roar from on high,
    and from his holy habitation utter his voice;
he will roar mightily against his fold,
    ^(B)and shout, like those who tread grapes,
    against all the inhabitants of the earth.
³¹ The clamor will resound to the ends of the earth,
    for ^(C)the Lord has an indictment against the nations;
^(D)he is entering into judgment with all flesh,
    and the wicked he will put to the sword,
declares the Lord.’
