41 “Ǹjẹ́ ìwọ le è fi ìwọ̀ fa Lefitani jáde?
Tàbí ìwọ lè fi okùn so ahọ́n rẹ̀ mọ́lẹ̀?
2 Ìwọ lè fi okùn bọ̀ ọ́ ní í mú,
tàbí fi ìwọ̀ ẹ̀gún gun ní ẹ̀rẹ̀kẹ́?
3 Òun ha jẹ́ bẹ ẹ̀bẹ̀ fún àánú lọ́dọ̀
rẹ ní ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ bí òun ha bá ọ sọ̀rọ̀ pẹ̀lẹ́?
4 Òun ha bá ọ dá májẹ̀mú bí?
Ìwọ ó ha máa mú ṣe ẹrú láéláé bí?
5 Ìwọ ha lè ba sáré bí ẹni pé ẹyẹ ni,
tàbí ìwọ ó dè é fún àwọn ọmọbìnrin ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀?
6 Ẹgbẹ́ àwọn apẹja yóò ha máa tà á bí?
Wọn ó ha pín láàrín àwọn oníṣòwò?
7 Ìwọ ha lè fi ọ̀kọ̀-irin gun awọ rẹ̀,
tàbí orí rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ọ̀kọ̀ ìpẹja.
8 Fi ọwọ́ rẹ lé e lára,
ìwọ ó rántí ìjà náà, ìwọ kì yóò sì ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀ mọ́.
9 Kíyèsi, ìgbìyànjú láti mú un ní asán;
ní kìkì ìrí rẹ̀ ara kì yóò ha rọ̀ ọ́ wẹ̀sì?
10 Kò sí ẹni aláyà lílé tí ó lè ru sókè;
Ǹjẹ́ ta ni ó lè dúró níwájú mi.
11 Ta ni ó kọ́kọ́ ṣe fún mi, tí èmi ìbá fi san án fún un?
Ohunkóhun ti ń bẹ lábẹ́ ọ̀run gbogbo, tèmi ni.
12 “Èmi kì yóò fi ẹ̀yà ara Lefitani,
tàbí ipá rẹ, tàbí ìhámọ́ra rẹ tí ó ní ẹwà pamọ́.
13 Ta ni yóò lè rídìí aṣọ àpáta rẹ̀?
Tàbí ta ni ó lè súnmọ́ ọ̀nà méjì eyín rẹ̀?
14 Ta ni ó lè ṣí ìlẹ̀kùn iwájú rẹ̀?
Àyíká ẹ̀yin rẹ ni ìbẹ̀rù ńlá.
15 Ìpẹ́ lílé ní ìgbéraga rẹ̀;
ó pàdé pọ̀ tímọ́tímọ́ bí ààmì èdìdì.
16 Èkínní fi ara mọ́ èkejì tó bẹ́ẹ̀
tí afẹ́fẹ́ kò lè wọ àárín wọn.
17 Èkínní fi ara mọ́ èkejì rẹ̀;
wọ́n lè wọ́n pọ̀ tí a kò lè mọ̀ wọ́n.
18 Nípa sí sin rẹ̀ ìmọ́lẹ̀ á mọ́,
ojú rẹ̀ a sì dàbí ìpéǹpéjú òwúrọ̀.
19 Láti ẹnu rẹ ni ọ̀wọ́-iná ti jáde wá,
ìpẹ́pẹ́ iná a sì ta jáde.
20 Láti ihò imú rẹ ni èéfín ti jáde wá,
bí ẹni pé láti inú ìkòkò tí a fẹ́ iná ìfèéfèé lábẹ́ rẹ̀.
21 Èémí rẹ̀ tiná bọ ẹ̀yin iná,
ọ̀wọ́-iná sì ti ẹnu rẹ̀ jáde.
22 Ní ọrùn rẹ̀ ní agbára kù sí,
àti ìbànújẹ́ àyà sì padà di ayọ̀ níwájú rẹ̀.
23 Jabajaba ẹran rẹ̀ dìjọ pọ̀,
wọ́n múra gírí fún ara wọn, a kò lè sí wọn ní ipò.
24 Àyà rẹ̀ dúró gbagidi bí òkúta,
àní, ó le bi ìyá ọlọ.
25 Nígbà tí ó bá gbé ara rẹ̀ sókè, àwọn alágbára bẹ̀rù;
nítorí ìbẹ̀rù ńlá, wọ́n dààmú.
26 Ọ̀kọ̀ tàbí idà, tàbí ọfà,
ẹni tí ó ṣá a kò lè rán an.
27 Ó ká irin sí ibi koríko gbígbẹ
àti idẹ si bi igi híhù.
28 Ọfà kò lè mú un sá;
òkúta kànnakánná lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀ dàbí àgékù koríko.
29 Ó ka ẹṣin sí bí àgékù ìdì koríko;
ó rẹ́rìn-ín sí mímì ọ̀kọ̀.
30 Òkúta mímú ń bẹ nísàlẹ̀ abẹ́ rẹ̀,
ó sì tẹ́ ohun mímú ṣóńṣó sórí ẹrẹ̀.
31 Ó mú ibú omi hó bí ìkòkò;
ó sọ̀ agbami Òkun dàbí kólòbó ìkunra.
32 Ó mú ipa ọ̀nà tan lẹ́yìn rẹ̀;
ènìyàn a máa ka ibú sí ewú arúgbó.
33 Lórí ilẹ̀ ayé kò sí ẹni tí ó dàbí rẹ̀,
tí a dá láìní ìbẹ̀rù.
34 Ó bojú wo ohun gíga gbogbo,
ó sì nìkan jásí ọba lórí gbogbo àwọn ọmọ ìgbéraga.”

English Standard Version
41 [a] “Can you draw out (A)Leviathan[b] with a fishhook
or press down his tongue with a cord?
2 Can you put (B)a rope in his nose
or pierce his jaw with (C)a hook?
3 Will he make many pleas to you?
Will he speak to you soft words?
4 Will he make a covenant with you
to take him for (D)your servant forever?
5 Will you play with him as with a bird,
or will you put him on a leash for your girls?
6 Will traders bargain over him?
Will they divide him up among the merchants?
7 Can you fill his skin with harpoons
or his head with fishing spears?
8 Lay your hands on him;
remember the battle—you will not do it again!
9 [c] Behold, the hope of a man is false;
he is laid low even at the sight of him.
10 No one is so fierce that he dares to stir him up.
Who then is he who can stand before me?
11 (E)Who has first given to me, that I should repay him?
(F)Whatever is under the whole heaven is mine.
12 “I will not keep silence concerning his limbs,
or his mighty strength, or his goodly frame.
13 Who can strip off his outer garment?
Who would come near him with a bridle?
14 Who can open the doors of his face?
Around his teeth is terror.
15 His back is made of[d] rows of shields,
shut up closely as with a seal.
16 One is so near to another
that no air can come between them.
17 They are (G)joined one to another;
they clasp each other and cannot be separated.
18 His sneezings flash forth light,
and his eyes are like (H)the eyelids of the dawn.
19 Out of his mouth go flaming torches;
sparks of fire leap forth.
20 Out of his nostrils comes forth smoke,
as from a boiling pot and burning rushes.
21 His breath (I)kindles coals,
and a flame comes forth from his mouth.
22 In his neck abides strength,
and terror dances before him.
23 The folds of his flesh (J)stick together,
firmly cast on him and immovable.
24 His heart is hard as a stone,
hard as the lower millstone.
25 When he raises himself up, the mighty[e] are afraid;
at the crashing they are beside themselves.
26 Though the sword reaches him, it does not avail,
nor the spear, the dart, or the javelin.
27 He counts iron as straw,
and bronze as rotten wood.
28 The arrow cannot make him flee;
for him, sling stones are turned to stubble.
29 Clubs are counted as stubble;
he laughs at the rattle of javelins.
30 His underparts are like sharp (K)potsherds;
he spreads himself like (L)a threshing sledge on the mire.
31 He makes the deep boil like a pot;
he makes the sea like a pot of ointment.
32 Behind him he leaves a shining wake;
one would think the deep to be white-haired.
33 (M)On earth there is not his like,
a creature without fear.
34 He sees everything that is high;
he is king over all the (N)sons of pride.”

O te hablará palabras sumisas?
4 -»¿Hará un pacto contigo?
¿Lo tomarás como siervo para siempre?
5 -»¿Jugarás con él como con un pájaro,
O lo atarás para tus doncellas?
6 -»¿Traficarán con él los comerciantes[e]?
¿Lo repartirán entre los mercaderes?
7 -»¿Podrás llenar su piel de arpones,
O de lanzas de pescar su cabeza?
8 -»Pon tu mano[f] sobre él;
Te acordarás de la batalla y no lo volverás a hacer[g].
9 -»[h]Falsa es tu[i] esperanza;
Con solo verlo serás[j] derribado.
10 -»Nadie hay tan audaz que lo despierte(C);
¿Quién, pues, podrá estar delante de Mí?
11 -»¿Quién me ha dado[k] algo para que Yo se lo restituya(D)?
Cuanto existe debajo de todo el cielo es Mío(E).
12 ¶»No dejaré de hablar de sus miembros,
Ni de su gran poder, ni de su agraciada figura.
13 -»¿Quién lo desnudará de su armadura exterior[l]?
¿Quién penetrará su doble malla[m]?
14 -»¿Quién abrirá las puertas de sus fauces[n]?
Alrededor de sus dientes hay terror.
15 -»Sus fuertes escamas[o] son su orgullo,
Cerradas como con apretado sello.
16 -»La una está tan cerca de la otra
Que el aire no puede penetrar entre ellas.
17 -»Unidas están una a la otra;
Se traban entre sí y no pueden separarse.
18 -»Sus estornudos dan destellos de luz,
Y sus ojos son como los párpados del alba(F).
19 -»De su boca salen antorchas,
Chispas de fuego saltan.
20 -»De sus narices sale humo,
Como de una olla que hierve sobre[p] juncos encendidos.
21 -»Su aliento enciende carbones,
Y una llama sale de su boca.
22 -»En su cuello reside el poder,
Y salta el desaliento delante de él.
23 -»Unidos están los pliegues de su carne,
Firmes están en él e inconmovibles.
24 -»Su corazón es duro como piedra,
Duro como piedra de molino.
25 -»Cuando él se levanta, los poderosos[q] tiemblan;
A causa del estruendo quedan confundidos.
26 -»La espada que lo alcance no puede prevalecer,
Ni la lanza, el dardo, o la jabalina.
27 -»Estima el hierro como paja,
El bronce como madera carcomida.
28 -»No lo hace huir la flecha[r];
En hojarasca se convierten para él las piedras de la honda.
29 -»Como hojarasca son estimados los mazos;
Se ríe del blandir de la jabalina.
30 -»Por debajo[s] tiene como tiestos puntiagudos;
Se extiende[t] como trillo sobre el lodo.
31 -»Hace hervir las profundidades como olla;
Hace el mar como un recipiente de ungüento.
32 -»Detrás de sí hace brillar una estela;
Se diría que el abismo es blanca cabellera.
33 -»Nada en la tierra[u] es semejante a él(G),
Que fue hecho sin temer a nada.
34 -»[v]Desafía[w] a todo ser altivo;
Él es rey sobre todos los orgullosos(H)».
