Ìdáhùn Bilidadi

25 Nígbà náà ní Bilidadi, ará Ṣuhi, dáhùn wí pé:

“Ìjọba àti ẹ̀rù ń bẹ lọ́dọ̀ Ọlọ́run rẹ̀,
    òun ní i ṣe ìlàjà ní ibi gíga gíga ọ̀run.
Àwọn ọmọ-ogun rẹ̀ ha ní ìyè bí,
    tàbí ara ta ni ìmọ́lẹ̀ rẹ̀ kò tàn sí?
Èéha ti ṣe tí a ó fi dá ènìyàn láre lọ́dọ̀ Ọlọ́run?
    Tàbí ẹni tí a bí láti inú obìnrin wá yóò ha ṣe mọ́?
Kíyèsi i, òṣùpá kò sì lè tàn ìmọ́lẹ̀,
    àní àwọn ìràwọ̀ kò mọ́lẹ̀ ní ojú rẹ̀,
kí a má sọ ènìyàn tí i ṣe ìdin,
    àti ọmọ ènìyàn tí í ṣe kòkòrò!”

Bildad

25 Then Bildad the Shuhite(A) replied:

“Dominion and awe belong to God;(B)
    he establishes order in the heights of heaven.(C)
Can his forces be numbered?
    On whom does his light not rise?(D)
How then can a mortal be righteous before God?
    How can one born of woman be pure?(E)
If even the moon(F) is not bright
    and the stars are not pure in his eyes,(G)
how much less a mortal, who is but a maggot—
    a human being,(H) who is only a worm!”(I)
