Job 9:32-35
New Revised Standard Version Updated Edition
32 For he is not a mortal, as I am, that I might answer him,
that we should come to trial together.(A)
33 There is no mediator[a] between us,
who might lay his hand on us both.(B)
34 If he would take his rod away from me
and not let dread of him terrify me,(C)
35 then I would speak without fear of him,
for I know I am not what I am thought to be.[b]
Job 9:32-35
Evangelical Heritage Version
32 For he is not a man as I am,
so that I am able to answer him,
so that we may meet in court.
33 There is no one to mediate[a] between us,
no one who can lay his hand on both of us.
34 No one can make him take his rod away from me,
so that the dread of him would not fill me with terror!
35 If that happened, I would speak up and not be afraid.
But I have no such mediator. I am left on my own.
