    the Maker of all things,

3     and lays the beams^(F) of his upper chambers on their waters.^(G)
He makes the clouds^(H) his chariot^(I)
    and rides on the wings of the wind.^(J)

¹⁸ can you join him in spreading out the skies,^(A)
    hard as a mirror of cast bronze?^(B)

    the seas have lifted up their voice;^(B)

4 Mightier than the thunder^(D) of the great waters,
    mightier than the breakers^(E) of the sea—
