¹⁸ If they are destroyed from their place,
    then it will deny them, saying, ‘I have never seen you.’^(A)

¹⁰ they return no more to their houses,
    nor do their places know them any more.^(A)

³⁶ Again I^[a] passed by, and they were no more;
    though I sought them, they could not be found.^(A)

⁸ The eye that beholds me will see me no more;
    while your eyes are upon me, I shall be gone.^(A)

⁷ though the wicked sprout like grass
    and all evildoers flourish,
they are doomed to destruction forever,^(A)

¹⁸ Truly you set them in slippery places;
    you make them fall to ruin.^(A)
19 How they are destroyed in a moment,
    swept away utterly by terrors!^(B)
