¹³ So are the paths of all who ^(A)forget God;
And the hope of the ^(B)hypocrite shall perish,

¹⁶ He also shall be my salvation,
For a ^(A)hypocrite could not come before Him.

²⁰ But ^(A)the eyes of the wicked will fail,
And they shall not escape,
And ^(B)their hope—^[a]loss of life!”

²⁸ The hope of the righteous will be gladness,
But the ^(A)expectation of the wicked will perish.

³⁴ For the company of hypocrites will be barren,
And fire will consume the tents of bribery.

^5 (A)That the triumphing of the wicked is short,
And the joy of the hypocrite is but for a ^(B)moment?
