Job 7:6-10
International Standard Version
6 My days pass as swiftly as a hand-loom;
they come to their conclusion without hope.
7 Remember that my life is a breath;
my eyes won’t go back to seeing good things.[a]
8 The eyes of the one who sees me won’t see me anymore;
your eyes will look[b] for me
but I won’t be around![c]
9 As a cloud fades away and vanishes,
the one who descends to the afterlife[d] doesn’t return.[e]
10 He doesn’t return again to his house,
and his place won’t recognize him anymore.”
Job 7:6-10
Lexham English Bible
6 “My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle,
and they come to an end without hope.[a]
7 Remember that my life is a breath;
my eye will not return to see good.
8 The eye of the one seeing me will not see me;
your eyes are upon me, but[b] I will be gone.[c]
9 A cloud vanishes, and it goes away,
so he who goes down to Sheol will not come up.
10 He does not return again to his house,
and his place does not recognize him again.
