⁹As a cloud vanishes^(A) and is gone,
so one who goes down to the grave^(B) does not return.^(C)
¹⁰He will never come to his house again;
his place^(D) will know him no more.^(E)

¹¹“Therefore I will not keep silent;^(F)
I will speak out in the anguish^(G) of my spirit,
I will complain^(H) in the bitterness of my soul.^(I)
