    Or, ‘Redeem me from the hand of ^(A)the ruthless’?

^21 (A)I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked,
    and redeem you from the grasp of ^(B)the ruthless.”

² Let ^(A)the redeemed of the Lord say so,
    whom he has ^(B)redeemed from trouble^[a]

¹⁵ But God will ^(A)ransom my soul from the power of Sheol,
    for he will ^(B)receive me. Selah

⁷ Truly no man ^(A)can ransom another,
    or ^(B)give to God ^(C)the price of his life,
⁸ for ^(D)the ransom of their life is costly
    and can never suffice,

    and in war from the power of the sword.
