¹⁷ “Behold, how ^(A)blessed is the man whom God reproves,
So do not reject the ^(B)discipline of the ^[a]Almighty.
¹⁸ For ^(C)He inflicts pain and ^[b]gives relief;
He ^[c]wounds, and His hands also heal.
^19 [d]From six distresses ^(D)He will deliver you,
Even in seven ^(E)evil will not touch you.
²⁰ In ^(F)famine He will redeem you from death,
And ^(G)in war from hands with swords.
