¹² He thwarts the plans^(A) of the crafty,
    so that their hands achieve no success.^(B)
13 He catches the wise^(C) in their craftiness,^(D)
    and the schemes of the wily are swept away.^(E)
14 Darkness^(F) comes upon them in the daytime;
    at noon they grope as in the night.^(G)
15 He saves the needy^(H) from the sword in their mouth;
    he saves them from the clutches of the powerful.^(I)
16 So the poor^(J) have hope,
    and injustice shuts its mouth.^(K)
