¹¹ he ^(A)sets on high those who are lowly,
    and those who mourn are lifted to safety.

^7 (A)The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
    ^(B)he brings low and he exalts.
^8 (C)He raises up the poor from the dust;
    he lifts the needy from the ash heap
^(D)to make them sit with princes
    and inherit a seat of honor.
^(E)For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's,
    and on them he has set the world.

^52 (A)he has brought down the mighty from their thrones
    ^(B)and exalted those of humble estate;
⁵³ he has filled ^(C)the hungry with good things,
    and the rich ^(D)he has sent away empty.

⁷ He ^(A)raises the poor from the dust
    and lifts the needy from the ash heap,

⁴¹ but ^(A)he raises up the needy out of affliction
    and ^(B)makes their families like flocks.

²⁷ The eternal God is your ^(A)dwelling place,^[a]
    and underneath are the everlasting arms.^[b]
And he thrust out the enemy before you
    and said, ‘Destroy.’
