Consider: Who has perished when he was innocent?
Where have the honest[a] been destroyed?(A)
In my experience, those who plow injustice
and those who sow trouble(B) reap the same.(C)
They perish at a single blast(D) from God
and come to an end by the breath of his nostrils.(E)
10 The lion may roar and the fierce lion(F) growl,
but the teeth of young lions are broken.(G)
11 The strong lion dies if it catches no prey,
and the cubs of the lioness are scattered.(H)

Sinners don’t live long

Think! What innocent person has ever perished?
    When have those who do the right thing been destroyed?
As I’ve observed, those who plow sin
    and sow trouble will harvest it.
When God breathes deeply, they perish;
    by a breath of his nostril they are annihilated.
10 The roar of a lion and snarl of the king of beasts—
    yet the teeth of lions are shattered;
11         the lion perishes without prey,
            and its cubs are scattered.
