Job 4:17-21
New American Standard Bible
17 ‘Can (A)mankind be righteous [a]before God?
Can a man be pure [b]before his (B)Maker?
18 (C)He puts no trust even in His servants;
And He accuses His angels of error.
19 How much more those who live in (D)houses of clay,
Whose (E)foundation is in the dust,
Who are crushed before the moth!
20 (F)Between morning and evening they are broken in pieces;
Unregarded, they (G)perish forever.
21 Is their (H)tent-cord not pulled out within them?
They die, yet (I)without wisdom.’
Job 4:17-21
New King James Version
17 ‘Can a mortal be more righteous than God?
Can a man be more pure than his Maker?
18 If He (A)puts no trust in His servants,
If He charges His angels with error,
19 How much more those who dwell in houses of clay,
Whose foundation is in the dust,
Who are crushed before a moth?
20 (B)They are broken in pieces from morning till evening;
They perish forever, with no one regarding.
21 Does not their own excellence go away?
They die, even without wisdom.’
