³ speak, and say, Thus says the Lord God:

² And he seized ^(A)the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and ^(B)bound him for a thousand years, ³ and threw him into ^(C)the pit, and shut it and ^(D)sealed it over him, so that ^(E)he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.

² And the beast that I saw was ^(A)like a leopard; its feet were like ^(B)a bear's, and its mouth was like ^(C)a lion's mouth. And to it ^(D)the dragon gave his power and ^(E)his throne and great authority.

The Woman and the Dragon

12 And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman ^(A)clothed with ^(B)the sun, with ^(C)the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. ² She was pregnant and ^(D)was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth. ³ And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great ^(E)red dragon, ^(F)with seven heads and ^(G)ten horns, and on his heads ^(H)seven diadems.
