² Then the wrath of Elihu, the son of Barachel the ^(A)Buzite, of the family of Ram, was aroused against Job; his wrath was aroused because he ^(B)justified himself rather than God.

^4 (A)Certainly not! Indeed, let ^(B)God be ^[a]true but ^(C)every man a liar. As it is written:

¹⁸ For on the one hand there is an annulling of the former commandment because of ^(A)its weakness and unprofitableness,

¹⁷ And this I say, that the law, ^(A)which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God ^[a]in Christ, ^(B)that it should make the promise of no effect.

The Changeless Promise^(A)

¹⁵ Brethren, I speak in the manner of men: ^(B)Though it is only a man’s covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no one annuls or adds to it.
