⁶ Should not your piety be your confidence^(A)
    and your blameless^(B) ways your hope?

²⁶ for the Lord will be at your side^(A)
    and will keep your foot^(B) from being snared.^(C)

²⁶ Whoever fears the Lord has a secure fortress,^(A)
    and for their children it will be a refuge.^(B)

¹⁵ where then is my hope—^(A)
    who can see any hope for me?^(B)

¹¹ My feet have closely followed his steps;^(A)
    I have kept to his way without turning aside.^(B)
12 I have not departed from the commands of his lips;^(C)
    I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.^(D)

¹⁷ yet my hands have been free of violence^(A)
    and my prayer is pure.^(B)
