⁶ One day the heavenly beings^[a] came to present themselves before the Lord, and the accuser^[b] also came among them.^(A)

¹⁶ “It is I, Jesus, who sent my angel to you with this testimony for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”^(A)

¹¹ and they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the Lord,

And all the people responded with a great shout when they praised the Lord because the foundation of the house of the Lord had been laid.^{(A) 12} But many of the priests and Levites and heads of families, old people who had seen the first house on its foundations, wept with a loud voice when they saw this house, though many shouted aloud for joy,

²⁸ “even as I also received authority from my Father. To the one who conquers I will also give the morning star.^(A)
