⁵ He set the earth^(A) on its foundations;^(B)
    it can never be moved.

“In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
    and the heavens are the work of your hands.^(A)

⁴ Who has gone up^(A) to heaven and come down?
    Whose hands^(B) have gathered up the wind?
Who has wrapped up the waters^(C) in a cloak?^(D)
    Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is his name,^(E) and what is the name of his son?
    Surely you know!

²⁹ when he gave the sea its boundary^(A)
    so the waters would not overstep his command,^(B)
and when he marked out the foundations of the earth.^(C)
30     Then I was constantly^[a] at his side.^(D)
I was filled with delight day after day,
    rejoicing always in his presence,
