²⁴ When there were no depths I was brought forth,
    when there were no springs abounding with water.

¹⁹ Your way was through the sea,
    your path through the mighty waters,
    yet your footprints were unseen.^(A)

⁵ The shades below tremble,
    the waters and their inhabitants.
⁶ Sheol is naked before God,
    and Abaddon has no covering.^(A)

³⁶ Therefore thus says the Lord:
I am going to defend your cause
    and take vengeance for you.
I will dry up her sea
    and make her fountain dry,^(A)
