⁸ And if they are ^(A)bound in chains
    and caught in the cords of affliction,

²² The ^(A)iniquities of the wicked ^(B)ensnare him,
    and he is held fast in the cords of his sin.

^9 (A)he has blocked my ways with blocks of stones;
    he has made my paths crooked.

^3 (A)The snares of death encompassed me;
    the pangs of Sheol laid hold on me;
    I suffered distress and anguish.

^5 (A)the cords of Sheol entangled me;
    the snares of death confronted me.

¹⁸ he keeps back his soul from the pit,
    his life from ^(A)perishing by the sword.

⁶ know then that God has ^(A)put me in the wrong
    and closed his net about me.

²⁷ You put my feet in ^(A)the stocks
    and ^(B)watch all my paths;
    you set a limit for^[a] the soles of my feet.
