His love endures forever.

    or to water his earth and show his love.^(B)

²⁷ All creatures look to you
    to give them their food^(A) at the proper time.
²⁸ When you give it to them,
    they gather it up;
when you open your hand,
    they are satisfied^(B) with good things.

¹³ He waters the mountains^(A) from his upper chambers;^(B)
    the land is satisfied by the fruit of his work.^(C)
14 He makes grass grow^(D) for the cattle,
    and plants for people to cultivate—
    bringing forth food^(E) from the earth:
¹⁵ wine^(F) that gladdens human hearts,
    oil^(G) to make their faces shine,
    and bread that sustains^(H) their hearts.

⁹ You care for the land and water it;^(A)
    you enrich it abundantly.^(B)
The streams of God are filled with water
    to provide the people with grain,^(C)
    for so you have ordained it.^[a]
10 You drench its furrows and level its ridges;
    you soften it with showers^(D) and bless its crops.
¹¹ You crown the year with your bounty,^(E)
    and your carts overflow with abundance.^(F)
12 The grasslands of the wilderness overflow;^(G)
    the hills are clothed with gladness.^(H)
13 The meadows are covered with flocks^(I)
    and the valleys are mantled with grain;^(J)
    they shout for joy and sing.^(K)

²⁶ to water^(A) a land where no one lives,
    an uninhabited desert,^(B)
27 to satisfy a desolate wasteland
    and make it sprout with grass?^(C)

²² “Have you entered the storehouses of the snow^(A)
    or seen the storehouses^(B) of the hail,^(C)
23 which I reserve for times of trouble,^(D)
    for days of war and battle?^(E)
