²⁶ How great is God—beyond our understanding!^(A)
    The number of his years is past finding out.^(B)

³ Great^(A) is the Lord and most worthy of praise;^(B)
    his greatness no one can fathom.^(C)

²³ The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power;^(A)
    in his justice^(B) and great righteousness, he does not oppress.^(C)

⁵ God’s voice thunders^(A) in marvelous ways;^(B)
    he does great things beyond our understanding.^(C)

⁷ “Can you fathom^(A) the mysteries of God?
    Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?
⁸ They are higher^(B) than the heavens^(C) above—what can you do?
    They are deeper than the depths below^(D)—what can you know?^(E)
9 Their measure^(F) is longer than the earth
    and wider than the sea.^(G)

²⁴ So I said:
“Do not take me away, my God, in the midst of my days;
    your years go on^(A) through all generations.
²⁵ In the beginning^(B) you laid the foundations of the earth,
    and the heavens^(C) are the work of your hands.^(D)
26 They will perish,^(E) but you remain;
    they will all wear out like a garment.
Like clothing you will change them
    and they will be discarded.
²⁷ But you remain the same,^(F)
    and your years will never end.^(G)
