¹⁷Can anyone govern who hates what is right?
    How can you ·blame God [^Lcondemn one] who is both ·fair [righteous] and powerful?
¹⁸·God [^LWho…?] is the one who says to kings, ‘You are worthless,’
    or to important people, ‘You are evil.’
¹⁹He ·is not nicer to princes than other people [^Lshows no favoritism to princes],
    nor ·kinder [^Lgives more recognition] to ·rich people [nobles] than poor people,
    because he made them all with his own hands [Prov. 14:31; 17:5; 22:2].

¹⁸Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?

¹⁹How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.
